The lyrics of the song are very
dark, so there has been a filter put over the camera lens to create an effect
that you would expect to see when wolves are in camera shots.
There has
been a filter used to create an effect that gives the image a more matted look,
it also creates a good atmosphere that works well with the music being played.
A long- shot of them carrying furniture is used as well.
Once again a filter has been used
with the camera, however this time it has been used with low key lighting to
create an even darker atmosphere. Also a mid-shot is used of Ben Howard playing
the guitar and humming helps emulate other artists of the genre.
There is a mid-long-shot used of
Ben Howard playing with a band giving teh video authenticity which is required
in the indie genre.
In this part of the narrative we can see Ben
Howard running away from the wolves. A long shot is used, however this could
also be a POV shot as it could be from a wolfs perspective.
This shot shows the video is
following a narrative as the shots link to the lyrics being song by Ben Howard.
‘Falling from high places’, this shot is from low to high relating to what Ben
Howard is saying, which also reinforces the idea that the video is following a
narrative.
This shot also links to the lyrics and so does
the high key lighting as we resemble bright light with god. The lyrics being,
“I've lost my patience with the lord”. The shot is also a low angle shot
looking up which also goes with the lyrics of the song and the theme of god at
this point.
