My Ideas Based on the Lyrics (note form)

Brainstorm:

1. Flashbacks- starts in an urban setting like a train station and flashbacks to a more natural setting. This allows us to make his past look like a better place.
2. The narrative should link to the lyrics in some way, this would make it similar to other indie artists like Ben Howard.
3. The start of the video should be positive as the first verse seems to be written that way. It should then change tone as so does the song.
4. He mentions sheets and pillows so we should include him on a bed somewhere as it would then link to the lyrics.
5. A mixture of both urban and natural shots should be used to contrast the different emotions the artist is feeling.
6. A guitar is pretty much a must have as found out from the audience research, it gives the video a look of authenticity which is what is needed for an indie video.
7. Master shot- there should be a master shot that the clip starts with and the reverts back to by the end. An ideal shot would be him sitting on a bench near a train station, this would reflect his emotion.
8. The artist should be wearing smart casual or casual clothing as again the audience research has made it clear that this is a must have.
