Editing Day Update

We spent the whole of today completing the filming and editing of or music video. We spent the first two hour finding various shots that would potentially fit into our music video. The benefit of having all day to spend on our music video is we could film before the sun started to set. We found various shots in Saffron Walden and this is the setting for the majority of our video. Another benefit of having the whole day dedicated to media was that the whole of our group could be present during a filming session, which really allowed a lot more creativity to be put across and ideas could be developed a lot quicker.
Filming: in the first two hours we filmed the final sector of our music piece. Having completed the majority of our music video set indoors we realized it was time to film most of the outdoor shots. The one thing we noticed when filming was that some of the shots were to long and dull to use in our video and so we had to find new footage to fill up our music video. Luckily we had come to saffron Walden on a sunny day making it a lot easier to film natural looking shots that Indie videos use so frequently. After we had received all the footage we decided it would be best appropriate to start editing.
Editing: We spent the remainder of the day editing the video, having got our footage, as well as starting to build up some ideas for our digi-pack. However when it came to editing we found there were some problems when it came to applying some of the filters that our video desperately needed. After a quick trip to YouTube we worked out how to do it and we managed to apply it. By the end of the day we had finished the majority of our video allowing us to see how it was going to plan out over the course of the final two weeks.
